NOAH WAGNER is an award-winning director,
writer and filmmaker, and a graduate of NYU’s
Tisch School of the Arts.
Recognized by the Director’s Guild of America, SHOOT Magazine, and the Berlin Commercial Awards, his work has appeared on HBO, NETFLIX, NBC, BBC, VIMEO STAFF PICKS and THE NEW YORKER. Collectively garnering millions of views, his films have won numerous awards at Oscar-Qualifying festivals worldwide, including his latest effort for DUST/Gunpowder & Sky–existential AI thriller, WATCH ROOM (starring Mamoudou Athie and Jacob Batalon). He’s also worked in varying capacities for — among others — THE DAILY SHOW, NICKELODEON, BLUE MAN GROUP and HBO, where he spent close to a decade creating video, VR, and digital content across many platforms in support of docus, sports, and series such as WESTWORLD, SILICON VALLEY, BALLERS, and GAME OF THRONES.
Noah specializes in ‘grounded genre’ – everything from science fiction to magical realism, moody atmosphere to playful whimsy, and any permutation in between – but always building a world rooted in our own. Through a lyrical lens and an eye for the absurd, he always seeks the truth, he believes a good story is as strong as its characters are relatable, and he loves a good twist ending.
Noah is a collaborator first and foremost – approaching every project with the utmost attention to objectivity and detail. It’s his mission to always create something that feels fresh and original, and he believes that while visual storytelling is essential to filmmaking, one shouldn’t underestimate the power of sound and music.
